LARRY CUSACK NAMED " CITIZEN OF THE YEAR 2010"

On Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the Chamber of Commerce "Hot August Nights" event, PBID Chairman, Larry Cusack was recognized as the "Citizen of the Year for 2010". The Town of Apple Valley, Apple Valley Fire District and the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce honored him for his dedication to volunteer public service to the citizen’s of Apple Valley. Larry grew up in Apple Valley and is a graduate of Apple Valley High School. He and his late wife, Sue, raised five children in Apple Valley and grew their business that started with two employees to a productive business that now employs over seventy. He serves or has served in many volunteer positions; from Apple Valley Little League Coach, to Apple Valley High School Varsity Softball Coach. He currently is a member of the Apple Valley Fire Protection District Board, the Apple Valley Planning Commission, the Apple Valley Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee and the Apple Valley Police Assistance League. He is also a strong supporter of the Sunset Hills Children’s Foundation, and the Victorville Homeless Shelter. Apple Valley Communications, Larry’s Company, is an active member of the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce. We are proud and honored to have him as our Chairman for the Apple Valley Village Property Owners Business Improvement District. (Pictured above with his family)
OUR MISSION
The primary purpose of this corporation is to recognize and fulfill the unique and varied economic interests and needs of Apple Valley Village property owners to accomplish the following specific purposes:
In concert with the Town of Apple Valley, to provide management oversight, directives and setting of priorities for supplemental services and improvements for Apple Valley Village, including a phased streetscape beautification project within the Apple Valley Village Property and Business Improvement District (“PBID”), areas of recognition such as entry treatments, seasonal banners and general enhancements and supplemental public safety services.
